Our new park!

I have been busy with 5 different wedding invitation orders, my brother-in-laws graduation announcements, and birthday invitations for two different little girls. That is one full plate! I haven't had time to sit down and upload pictures for awhile. So here you go...pictures galore! I will have a writing post soon!
Our new park!! Right across the street and one house down...so close!!

We went to the park to enjoy some of the nicer weather that we have had this past weekend. The kids just love having a park across the street and so do we!

Abby loves the swings!!

Chase thinks he is such a big boy, climbing up the ladder.

Crawling...silly girl!!

Hanging from the bar....not quite sure of the big monkey bars, so this one will do for now

And she is off....only 1 and loves driving her car

On his bike for the first time this year...his feet finally reach the pedals

Trying to ride in the car together. A tight fit, but too cute to watch

Abby wanted to test out Chase's bike too....she is about as tall as Chase was last year.

Katie pushing Abby with her feet up.

Blowing the day away

The kids woke up early, so after I got them dressed, they decided to sit in our bed and watch some cartoons. They look so tired.

Today we made a bowling alley out of "big blocks." I can't tell you how many times I set up the bowling pins for this. It is amazing how you do something, just to hear your kids laugh and see them smile!

Chase's turn!

Abby tried to roll the ball, but ended up throwing it. Whatever works!

I got these new pink bows from Sweet Daisy Bowtique (their button is on my right sidebar). I LOVE them! Abby picks them out and says "pitty bo" (pretty bows). She makes amazing bows and she has many different styles.

My little baseball star...

Look at that stance...he says he wants to be Joe Maurer when he gets bigger.
Brian might have started his love for baseball, but he deffinately keeps it going. He always wants to play baseball, he loves to watch baseball and he can't wait for his daddy's sfotball season to start.

Mommy's Birthday :)

My mom came for the morning to take us out to eat. We had a great time playing before we left for lunch. The kids were in great moods and love seeing grandma when she visits.

Hole in the knee....football in hand...such a boy!

Abby absolutely adores Bauer. She loves laying on him and she loves talking to him.

At night, we went to my in-laws for dinner. Thanks for the great dinner and cake Chris! Chase loved the marble cake! He will never say no to cake!

The soon-to-be newly weds and our roomies!

Chase and grandma enjoying their cake

Abby's new silly smile...this is what she does when we say smile

Playing with the cards...grandma said daddy used to do this when he was little...

...all the way around the table.

Resting on daddy. She is such a cuddle bug!

My new obession...

Abby's hair bows...If I don't have a bow to match an outfit she is wearing...I make one (or two). I love her with bows in her hair. :)

Stay tuned...

The kids were being quiet, while I was making lunch and after I came down the stairs and they had all left the TV show that was playing (to keep them occupied while I fixed lunch) I was wondering where they all disappeared to...I followed the little giggles down the hall to the playroom and this is what I found. They were all playing together, building a tower with blocks....I love these moments!!

Happy Birthday to me!!

What a great past 27 years! I can't believe how much I have accomplished in my life and how many memories I have from all of it. The good, the bad and the ugly! If you would have asked me 10 years ago, where I thought I'd be at 27...I would have told you exactly how my life is. I would have said, married with one or two kids, a dog and a job I love. All of which I have!!

I started out the day with my kids and hubby wishing me a happy birthday. Then after we got ready for our day, we went out to eat at Chili's with my mom. We had a good lunch, but I was reminded why we don't go out to restaurants as a family much. Too much distraction and chaos for the kids to eat their food.

Tonight we are going to my in-laws for a birthday dinner and cake! As for right now...It is my birthday and I think I am going to treat myself to a nap! :)

Birthday mama and her babies! :)

Meltdowns vs. Apple Cider Vinegar

Meltdowns vs. Apple Cider Vinegar
I have been having a really tough time with Chase and his melt downs and whining lately. I was reading on a fellow bloggers page, Jana, and I got some helpful "medication" for helping solve this issue.

The other day, I was making lunch (one of the hardest times of the day) and Chase decides that he is going to have a melt down in kitchen, right by my feet, as I am scrambling to get lunch on the table. I remembered a post on a blog that I read and she tried it with her son and it worked....so I thought what the heck do I have to lose?! I went to the cupboard and got a small spoonful of Apple Cider Vinegar and told Chase that this was medicine to make him stop crying and whining. He quieted down enough to drink it and then immediately said, "I don't like that medicine at all...YUCK!" (My kids willingly take medicine, when they are sick, so he wasn't hesitant to take this) He calmed down and went to wash his hands for lunch. After lunch we went to watch a 30 minute TV show before nap, Chase was mad that he couldn't watch the show he wanted to, so he threw himself into a meltdown on the floor. I told him I'd be right back, I was going to go get a spoonful of his crying medicine. I have never seen my son stop crying so fast. I am crossing my fingers that this works. The day goes so much better without any meltdowns.

When Chase decides to throw a whining fit or have a complete meltdown, I now just ask him if he'd like a spoonful of "medicine" to help him stop whining or crying. He tells me, "no mama...that is yucky medicine," and stops much faster than ever before!
Thanks Jana! Hopefully this sticks!

Don't forget...

You have till tomorrow night to enter to win my giveaway! I will announce a winner on Friday.
