This week is Appetizer Recipes!

My favorite appetizer recipe is:

Stuffed Mushrooms

15-20 Mushrooms
1 package of cream cheese-softened
4 Tbsp. Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp. Chopped parsley
2 Tbsp. Grated onion
1/4 tsp. Paprika
1/4 cup. Mozzarella cheese-grated
1/4 tsp. salt
A handful of diced mushroom stems-diced

Mix all ingredients together. Pull the stems out of the mushrooms and save a handful of them. Stuff each mushroom so that it is heaping. Broil on high for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Now it's your turn...what is your favorite appetizer recipe?!

"What would your children say?" Wednesday

Time again for "What would your children say?" Wednesday!!! Marianne, over at Family American Style started this, so everyone can share what funny things your kids have said or done. If you don't have a kid, feel free to post something about your furry four legged friends!

Back when I had time to go went to the chiropractor, Chase wasn't too sure of the chiropractor pressing on my back and all these cracking noises coming from my body. He was always a little weary of my chiropractor.
Well, when life started to get crazy busy hectic, I didn't have much time to go anymore.
Chase woke up one morning and said, "mom, are you going to the chiropractor today?"
I told him, "not today."
He then asked, in a very confused little boy voice, "Why, are you not broken anymore?"

Too cute. I am glad I can watch my kids grow up, so I don't miss these funny things!

'Not Me' Monday!

Are you feeling guilty for leaving the windows open to catch a breeze when you know the air is on? Feel like a bag lady for wearing the same shirt for days on end? Get tricked by a fake news story and feel foolish? We'll don't! Not Me! Monday was born out of my desire to admit some of my imperfections and reveal a few moments I'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!
Head over to Mckmama's blog to see why everyone else isn't perfect!

This past week I did not cut Chase's hair and while not cutting it, I most certainly bribe him with candy and did not would not keep saying, "hold on hunny, I am almost done"...about 10 times!

The kids did not take a bath that same night, while I cut my hubby's hair and my bathroom did not end up looking like a lake when they were done, just so I could get through my hubby's hair cut!

We did not take a trip to the grocery store that ended up taking us 2 hours to shop for grocery's for camping. I most certainly did not bring Skittles to keep the kids quiet and while shopping, I would never make a game of getting us stuff off our list, just to keep my kids quiet and busy.

I did not get all my laundry done this week, on time! Then come to find out two days later that I still had one load in the washer, that I did not completely forget about and have to wash a second time.

I did not take a trip to the mall with both my kids and the little girl I watch, just to get some errands done and then keep bribing them, that I would take them to the play place, if they were good. I also did not split open the butt of my favorite worn out jeans and go about my business, not noticing until I took them off that night. (good thing they were a stretchy material, so it wasn't completely noticeable)

I am not prefect, someday I will realize that! Now you know some of my imperfections!

Everyone needs a little help...

Everyone can use a little help now and then.

I have been contacted by a fellow blogger, that follows my blog, her name is Amber. She has a friend that is in a tight and sad part of her life and could use a little help from us.
Please go over to Amber's blog at My life as a pink haired mommy and wife and read more about her friend Mandy could really use our help.

I don't usually post things like this, to help others out. But like my title says, everyone needs a little help now and then. I have been in situations like this and have had friends and family to help me out. I couldn't ask for better friends or blogging friends for that matter!

Lets make Mandy have something to smile about!
Thanks in advance for your help!

This week is Dessert Recipes!

My favorite dessert recipe, besides my famous homemade chocolate mouse cake that I posted the recipe to here...is:

Strawberry Whipped Sensation

4 cups fresh strawberries-divided
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tub. (8 oz) Cool Whip topping-thawed and divided
12 Oreos-finely chopped/mashed
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter-melted

Line a bread pan with foil. Mash 2 cups of strawberries in a large bowl. Stir in condensed milk, lemon juice and 2 cups of cool whip. Pour into pan. Mix Oreos and butter till moist. Top the strawberry mix with the Oreo and butter mixture and press to make a 'crust.' Freeze at least 6 hours. Frost with remaining col whip and slice up remaining strawberries and decorate the top of the dessert.

I hope more people join in this week! I love getting new recipes and it is fun to see what other people like to eat/cook!

Now it's your turn, what is your favorite dessert recipe?!

SHOW US YOUR LIFE - Wedding Dress

Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is continuing her 'Show us your house' theme, but changed it up a bit to 'Show us your life'!
This week is Wedding dress pictures. I loved my wedding dress, so I am going to post some pictures and play along.

The close up back of my dress!

The full back of my dress.

The front detail

Blushing bride-to-be!

Me and my parents

Husband and wife!

The guys and I

All these pictures are taken by friends and family. We had a nightmare with our photographer and didn't order any pictures from them, they were horrible. My one suggestion, if you aren't married yet, is get a reference for a photographer.
