Not lost...just not {conected}

We are about 3/4 of the way through unpacking all the boxes...meanwhile, still adding more form the old house. Someday, hopefully soon, we will be unpacked. I don't like seeing cardboard boxes all over the place.
Today I painted the final stripes in the girls room, I can't wait to find my camera and take a picture to show you all. I am so proud of myself...and my dad of course, for finishing it off with a chair rail. Their bed is simply amazing..it makes me wish I was 3 again. Who wouldn't want a castle for a bed?!
My dad has been here just about everyday, since we moved, fixing things, replacing things and making things how we want them....THANKS SO MUCH DAD!!

I am not too busy to post, unfortunately we won't have internet until Monday. I am stealing internet from the neighbors writing this quick post so you don't think I forgot about you all. I can't wait to update you all with pictures of the new house...I {love} it here! The kids are in heaven with the huge playroom and they are having fun playing with all the toys they haven't seen in awhile.

Pictures to come, but for now, I sit here with a snoozing baby on my chest, while Chase is playing the Wii, the dog is resting on my feet and the fire is roaring. I am in {heaven}!

Sad to say, but they are both better than their mama. {with bumpers, of course}

 Happy {Friday}!!

New house status!

So, closing today went great. {Except the fact that my hubby had an expired license and didn't even know it...good thing he had a passport}
We went right to the house and started painting, while my AWESOME dad put in a new stove and fridge and new locks on the doors. {Thanks dad!}
We got the base coat in Abby/Makenzie's room painted and have to wait a couple days for it to fully dry, till I paint the stripes and add the chair rail.
We also got the living room painted {the orange room, if you remember the pictures I posted before}
Tomorrow I am on a mission to paint our room, Chase's room and possibly even get to the kid's bathroom. Whew, lots of painting!

We found out we need a new microwave too.  It starts, but doesn't heat anything{Oh darn...all new appliances} :)
We are getting some custom wooden 'bookshelf/cabinets' in our family room, so I can't wait to see those when they're done. Everything else is great and we can't wait to move in this weekend!

(When the rooms are done, I will take pictures.)

Vikings beat the Cowboys!!

We went over to the in-laws house for the big Vikings vs. Cowboys game. The Vikes pulled it off again 34-3. Here is everyone watching the game....we even got Adam to willingly wear a Vikings jersey {he WAS a die hard Packer fan.}

The cheering fans!

 Eating some snacks with papa

 My little diva...the only one that doesn't have a Vikings jersey to wear...so I just dress her SUPER cute!

 Silly smile!

It was a long day...that ended in two sweet tired kids {and a Viking win!!}

1 month pictures!

Here are Makenzie's 1 month pictures. Hopefully next month I will be less rushed and Erin can take them again. Until then, my {amateur} photography skills will have to do.

Winner & Relaxing!

(sorry I forgot to announce this yesterday)
The WINNER of the Capture Your Memories giveaway is...

Mom Brose over at Tripple Blessing

(Congrats and please e-mail me)

This Sunday has been a very relaxing one. Laying low and this is the first time I have been on the computer all day. WOW...that is unheard of!
We watched the Vikings kick some butt in the game today against the Cowboys at the in-laws house. We ate tons of food and the kids had a blast with everyone there.
Now we are off to pick out paint for the new house..I am exctied. {my husband, not so much}
Then we are off for some dinner and watching 24 at home. Our all time favorite show.

(There is a blog makeover up for grabs for the first person that can tell me {because of my husbands obsession with the show} how 'our family' is tied to the show.)

Edinborough Park!

We have had one {busy} week...packing, playing, going out to play in the snow, playing some more and trying to squeak in a nap here and there.

 Going down the really fast slide

 Good thing the net is there!

 They love playing in the gym

What is better than a chair with wheels?!

 Hoops low enough for Chase to {score}

 I finally have the energy to run around and play with them again

He totally {schooled} me!

 They did this forever...

 What a tough little girl!

Getting the last few wiggles out, in the junper

Play Park Playdate

Last Wednesday we met up with Tina and Erin and headed to the mall play place for a play-date.
The kids had a blast playing (even though the first couple times, they never really play together)
Then we all ate lunch in the food court.
{I didn't take very many pictures, I was busy chatting and watching the kids (among the other 30 kids that were running around), so I have three cute ones for you.}

We had a blast and can't wait to do it again.
{I love time to chat with other mommies}

This might get addicting...I love when they match!

 {The cutest two butts ever!}

 {Sweet pea sucking her thumb}

Thanks for the matching outfits grandma!

I love what kids say!

The other night, we sit down to dinner and Chase tells me, he needs medicine for his 'anker sore' (Canker sore)
I told him to start eating and I would put some medicine on it in a minute.
Then {Adam} (my BIL) said, "Chase, do you know what I do when I have a canker sore?"
{Chase} "no, what?"
{Adam} "I pray really hard that it goes away."
  {Chase} "But Adam, I don't know how to pray."

We all started to laugh, but it kinda felt like a stab to my heart. Poor little guy, he was serious.
Then {Chase} said, "ok, lets say the blessing."

{I love what kids say!}

An award...

 I just got this award from Framed By Grace
Thanks so much, I am honored!

And along with it, I have to tell 7 things about myself......here goes:

1. I LOVE taking pictures of my kids...well, I guess taking picture of anything really. I think they are the greatest models!

2. I love to cook, even though some of my 'guinea pig' recipes, don't always turn out. I love when I find an easy recipe that my family loves!
3. I could wear pink or black everyday. I love anything pink!!
4. I love Gerber Daisys, but I tell my hubby not to waste money on flowers...cause they die.
5. When I get something in my head...I usually put it into motion very quick. "Dream it up and go get it!"
6. My dream when I was younger was to be an RN, but I am not good with the sight of other people's blood.
7. I always usually think I am right and cannot have a tough time admitting I'm wrong.

And here is who I am tagging for this award
(***Pay attention**)

Molly over at Stilettos and Diapers
Melissa over at Hanging with Mr. Cooper
Tina over at My Priceless Fishers
