Ask Away!

Got Questions?!

I thought I would do a question and answer session again.
I have a bunch of new followers and I have gotten e-mails here and there asking me questions.
(If I haven't gotten back to you, I am sorry! Here is your chance to ask again)

Ask me anything, I am not shy!
About me....about my kids...about my life...about name it!

I will answer these sometime on Friday!

New Church?!

 I am back from a few day streak of being busy.
I will have to say, my birthday weekend was great. We went bowling with friends and family and had a blast. I am not very good {even Chase beat me} but we had so much fun!

 (more pictures coming soon)

On Saturday a neighbor was talking to my hubby at the park and told him that he was a pastor at a church near by. They talked for awhile and then I got relayed the conversation after we put the kids to bed.
I was acutally debating on trying a new church out on Sunday, or going to the one we tried out last
Sunday. Well, with the news of our neighbor (who I had met previously) being a pastor, I decided I would try out his church.
Katie, Abby, Makenzie and I headed there on Sunday. (Chase and Daddy stayed home, it is hard trying to find a church with kids, and trying to keep them quiet all service)
So, we got into the church and took our seats. As the service was starting, a two ladies came and sat right next to us...{The pastor's wife and her friend}
She looked at us and said, "Hey, I know you guys! Thanks for coming."
{How ironic that out of everyone there, she sits by us}
The service was great, and a lot like the church we used to go to {the one we were married at and all the kids were baptized at}
The people were very friendly and to my surprise the church was huge! The kids program seems great and I love how the children ministry leader lead the kids part in the service. {She got the kids involved in her message}
All in all, it was a GREAT experience. I can see this becoming our church.

My kids are very hesitant about going to Sunday school and us not being right by their side. I can only pray that they will enjoy this church and look forward to going to church on Sundays!

The weather is gorgeous here and we will be outside as much as we can.
(If I happen to be missing a day here and there, that is why)

We got a bunch of baby toys/things from my best friend Jess, since they are done having kids.
A pack n' play, a swing, an exersaucer, a bouncer, and a Boppy.
A lot of things are doubles of what I have, but it will be great for the daycare.
This swing was one of the things and Kenzie LOVES it. {now we can have one upstairs and one downstairs}

Thank you so much Jess! I really appreciate it!!

The BIG 28!!

Those of you who guessed my downfall of spring was...
my are right!
I used to love birthdays...until I realized I was getting older.
I don't look 28 {so I'm told} so I guess I have that going for me. Then again, I don't want to look 18, walking around with three kids under 5. ;)

{Here are a couple pictures from past birthdays}

My day has started off great....
I was out of coffee creamer and milk, so my sister-in-law got up early and went to the store for me. She got me coffee creamer, milk, OJ and donuts!
The kids think my birthday should be everyday, since we get donuts!
{Thanks Katie!!!}

Last night, the hubby and I drove 45 minutes to get my birthday present....

I love it! It gits perfect and I love the chairs!
I love practical that I am getting old! ;)

We are going bowling tonight with family and friends, I can't wait!

Spring has sprung!

It's FINALLY Spring!

We have been playing outside a ton and working on our yard. It is weird moving in the winter, we really had no clue what our yard was going to look like.
We have a rock waterfall in the backyard, that definitely need some attention. {for daycare, we might have to just fill the water part with rocks, so it isn't a safety thing}
We also have some sort of bricked in garden. {I would love to be a green thumb, but I am so far from it} We are going to take out the bricks, board it up and make a huge sandbox.
We have quite a bit of dead leaves to rake up {this house was unoccupied for 7 months} and some trees to trim, but things are looking good. We can't wait to have green grass and a fence around our yard.

Here are some pictures from this past week...

Of course, I can't forget a few of my little muffin...

There is one downfall that I think about spring....can anyone guess???
{If you don't know...check back tomorrow}

Time for the crib?!

 Makenzie loves to sit in the Bumbo...until her sweet little head gets too heavy.

Whenever I am taking pictures of Makenzie....either Abby or Chase love to get in the picture too!

On Sunday, I put Makenzie in her crib for her first time, for a nap. She did great.
I know some of you might be thinking, she is 3 months, why is she still in my room...well, here are my reasons.
I am a little hesitant to put her in with Abby, because I know one of them will wake the other one up. I am not sure if I want to go down this road yet. Also, Makenzie does sleep about 7 or more hours a night, but she still wakes up that one time to eat and it is so nice having her right there to just pick up.
You can all have a good laugh, because we didn't put Chase in his own room until he was 6 months old {I know...bad} and Abby until she was 4 months.
Do any of you have kids that share rooms with littler siblings? Any tricks I should know. Chase and Abby did share a room for awhile in our old townhouse, but I don't remember them waking each other up, being a problem.

{For the time being, I will work on putting Makenzie in with Abby}

'Not Me' Monday

This week I was not down for the count with some crud that is going around. It was not me who spent every minute that I could in bed, doing nothing.
I would never lay with Makenzie and cuddle when the chance came up, especially when I was trying to avoid her getting sick.

These are not my adorable children getting along so well, while their mama tries to get better. They do not look completely innocent in this picture.

This is not what happens when mama is sick in bed all week and Abby doesn't want to be in PJ's anymore. She did not pick this entire very colorful outfit out by herself.

My husband would never send me this picture this weekend, while he was in Vegas and I was home sick with all 3 kids. He did not go to Vegas for 4 days with his friends for an early birthday present and for March Madness. He did not come home with more money than he left with.

We did not finally get outside to play baseball this weekend. When we were outside watching our 'little wanna be Joe Mauer' in action, we did not attract some neighbors to join in.

Speaking of Joe Mauer...there is no way he FINALLY signed with the Twins for 8 years this weekend, for 23 million dollars a year. {Holy Cow!!!!!} That equals out to about $150,000 a game. That is one NICE job!

Have a great week, we are excited to be back on our feet!

New Look!

New look for SPRING!
I love spring and I decided I needed a new look. What do you think?!

Don't forget to enter in my giveaway for a new look for your blog!
Go here to see how you can get one.

Technique for time outs

I heard a really good technique for time outs...

Kids are very visual and sometimes need to see things to make it easier for them to understand.

This lady was giving her 5 year old a time out and she put her on the 3rd stair of their stairway. She made her sit 2 minutes on that stair, then moved her down one stair (if she was being cooperative) and she sat on that stair for 2 more minutes. Then she moved down to the bottom stair where she could get up.

(Obviously pending on the child's age, you would shorten or lengthen the time on each stair. It is suggested that a child is on time out 1 minute for each year of their age)

I am going to try this with Chase, because he will sit on time out and repetitively ask if he is done on time out. This way he will be able to 'see' when his time out will be over.

Bubble gun trouble

What not to do with a bubble gun.

{When grandma buys you a bubble gun}
You shouldn't put it in your sisters hair, especially when it is on!
