Absent...but back soon!

Sorry I have been absent....I have been busy with these...
and these...
 Which will eventually all look like this...

I have also been busy with this...
 very sick and sweet little girl, who has been doing a lot of this...
since she came down with croup, that turned in to pneumonia.

We spent 3 hours on Tuesday night in the ER, when Abby woke up at around 10 pm and couldn't breathe. I had croup as a kids, so I knew what it was, but never had it as bad as she did. She couldn't talk and was wheezing, trying to catch her breath. {very scary}
We took her to the ER, where we spent 3 fun hours, while they gave her a shot of steroids, some medicine and took 2 chest x-rays. The shot was not fun at all and left a huge bruise on her little leg, but the nurse made it all better when she brought Abby one of these...

She is on the mend, but nights have been long and sleepless, I can only pray that she is back to her old self soon!

A future tip with the croup (given with much experience on the topic) ... bundle her up and take her outside into the cold for about five minutes. Or, if it happens to not be cold, seriously put her face into an open freezer. Sometimes steam works in a bathroom. But, a lot of times extreme cold breaks it up.

The first time I heard that I thought my doctor was crazy. But we were desperate and tried it. It saved us from an ER trip and more.

Hope she gets to feeling better very soon!

Nicole is right going outside in the cold at night is wonderful with croup though it is hard to get over the croup!

Hate that it turned into pneumonia and she isn't feeling better! Hope it passes quickly and she's back to her happy self. Tell her she's still adorable when she's laying on the couch and not feeling good though!

Those cards look awesome-you are so talented!
