It's Garage Sale DAY!!

There is something about Thursdays that I have LOVED since I was a kid!

During the summer when I was little, my mom and I would go out to as many garage sales as we could get to! We would come home with car loads of stuff.
Sometimes we would go with my dad or brothers, but they didn't have nearly as much fun as we did. We could drive by a sale and know if it was worth stopping at.
I have had my own garage sales growing up and just about one every year for the past 5 years.
{one would wonder how I have so much stuff??}

We are actually having one next weekend! (I can't wait)

My kids know that on Thrusday mornings, we will walk with all the daycare kids to the sales that are within a couple miles of us. They will get up in the morning and ask.."Is it garage sale day?"

I am all about getting used/new stuff for a great price. I love shopping at Once Upon a Child, which in a way, is kind of like a big garage sale. (but a little more spendy) we are as many as we can find! Whatever will we bring home?!
People always say...."Someones junk is another persons treasure!"

It was time for a change!

What do you think?!

BEFORE                                                AFTER

I think I have had the same hair style since high school. In friend that cut my hair, that I hadn't seen in 10 years, said I look the same as our high school graduation. WOW...I needed a change!

Guess who else got her hair cut?!
Abby let me take her to a salon to get her hair cut. She didn't say a word and barely cracked a smile, but her hair is trimmed and cute! I just got her ends cut off, but it's a fresh cut.
I wasn't about to spend the $17.50 to get her hair cut at a kids cuts place. So...we went to Master Cuts in the mall and spent $9.00.

I {Heart} The Letter Block Shop!

I have done a previous review on
over here, but I just can't say enough about this Etsy shop!
I really do LOVE her work!
Lara has made me these adorable blocks for Abby's room...
and these awesome blocks for my living room...
I have a sketch of some blocks that she is making me for a Christmas gift.
(I would love to show you, but they might be for you)

She has also made these gorgeous blocks for a good friend of mine...
   {I want a set for the girls room!}

Here are some of my favorites from her shop...
These are her NEW wall letters
Her blocks are all hand made and her own designs! Out of all the blocks I've seen, these are the best made and painted! Lara does custom work, with custom colors and fonts! She can match your child's bedding or room decor or a room in your house. She has a huge variety of colors and fonts to choose from over here
She has a huge selection on her Etsy shop and also her website!

I only wish I had more shelves and space in my house to put more blocks. I have gotten so many compliments on the two sets I ave gotten from her.
These make GREAT gifts too!

Lara is offering all you 20% off your order through July 31st.
{just mention my blog name with your order}

Want a chance to win a free blog makeover by yours truly?!

Friday, July 23, 2010 are 3!

3 Years Old! did you grow up so fast. Just three years ago, you were put in my arms and I had the {BIGGEST} smile on my be having a baby girl!
You might be three...going on thirteen...but we LOVE you SO much!

A look at the past three years...

One Year...

Two Years...

Three Years...
You are still the smallest most petite little girl who loves playing with babies, stuffed animals, anything and everything princess, Barbies and Polly Pockets. You LOVE to are always singing something. You love Snow White, but will play with anything princess. You love your hair done, you like to dress yourself in the morning and can be very independent.

You aren't a very picky eater and will try just about everything. Your favorite food is mac n' cheese {just like your mama}. You will only drink your milk with a straw and still like your juice in a sippy cup {naughty mommy}. You are not very good about picking up your room and love to play with all your toys at once. You are the only kid I know that plays will all of their stuffed animals. You will wear slippers to bed, when it is 80 degrees outside and love getting into your pajamas at night.

You are the dare devil in the family. You take fall down and get back are covered in bumps and bruises to prove it. You would spend your entire day at the park {if we let you}.

Your stats...
You wear 18 month shorts (cause you are so skinny), 24 month - 2T shirts, 3T pants (for the length),  and size 7 shoe.
You are 27.5 lbs. and 36 1/2  inches tall

Abigail we love you to the moon and back and can't wait to see what this year brings.

Happy 3rd Birthday Cupcake!
