Funny how...

...things change!

Before I was a mom....
It took 2 hours for my to get ready in the morning
Now that I am a mom...
I try and give myself 45 minutes, but that time usually gets interrupted by one or more children.

Before I was a mom....
I loved enjoying my warm food, when it was dinner time
Now that I am a mom...
I'll be lucky if I get a bite or warm food.

Before I was a mom....
I had more money than I knew what to do with and usually went shopping for myself at least twice a week
Now that I am a mom...
I try to go shopping for myself and end up buying my kids stuff and nothing for myself

Before I was a mom....
I would sit down and enjoy a movie at least twice a week
Now that I am a mom...
There is either to much chaos to watch a movie, or I fall asleep 5 minutes into the movie.

Before I was a mom....
I drove a cute sporty car
Now that I am a mom...
I drive a practical mini-van (which I love!)

Before I was a mom....
My wardrobe consisted of 'scandalous tops,' high heels, mini shirts and daisy dukes
Now that I am a mom...
My wardrobe consists of cute stylin' practical shirts, jeans, comfy pants, high heels and a few cute dresses

Before I was a mom....
A Friday night was usually spent hanging out at a party with friends or at the bar
Now that I am a mom...
A Friday night is usually spent with my family, doing something the kids enjoy!

Before I was a mom....
The biggest thing I had to worry about every morning was getting to work on time
Now that I am a mom...
I have 3 beautiful kids to get ready each day and busting my rear to 'keep them all in one piece'

Before I was a mom...
I would go crazy for birthdays and Christmas for my hubby's gifts
Now that I am a mom...
I go crazy in kids stores buying toys and kids clothes (sorry babe)

Before I was a mom....
My nicknames were babe, Kel and sweetie and Bel
Now that I am a mom...
My nickname is mommy, mama and Moooooom!

Before I was a mom....
My living room was organized and decorated with frames, vases, coffee tables and 'knick knacks'
Now that I am a mom...
My living room is coffee table free, 'breakables' free and has a basket of toys

Before I was a mom....
I never knew how much you could love someone so small
Now that I am a mom...
It amazes me each day how much I love my kids

It is funny how things change, when you life takes a turn for the most {memorable miracles!}

what a fun post! Isn't it funny things change? I was thinking about this the other day. Before I was a mom I could get up and go somewhere whenever I wanted. Now I have to get Hailey ready, make sure we have all our stuff and work around her schedule.

Either way I wouldn't trade it for anything else. :)

So true!!!! We are so blessed with our little ones! And I totally snickered at the buying kid stuff when going shopping for yourself. I do that all the time.

This is all sooo true! I have even stooped so low as to never dry my hair anymore. I put it in a wet bun and have curls by the end of the day when the hubs comes home. :)

Awesome!!!!!

Now I wanna know how you get 45 mins to get ready :) If I get 15 I'm lucky and it's never kid free!!!

Amazing how things change, but I totally agree! My little miracle has changed my life, I always wanted children but I never imagined the HUGE and wonderful impact he has had on my life.

PS-I totally agree on the attempts to buy things for yourself, happens every time! HA
