1st Hair Cut!

     

Well, I finally broke down and gave Abby her 1st hair cut. I really love her long hair and I didn't cut very much off. She had a little mullet growing, so I just trimmed it to even it out.

Here she is as I'm finishing up. (I forgot to take a before picture)

It looks like a chopped a lot off, but I didn't. I have about a 1 inch piece, from the back, for her baby book and the rest was just trimmed. She wanted it curled for the birthday party we were going to. She loves when I curl and blow dry her hair, she thinks she is just like me.

News Flash to all breastfeeding mommies!

For those of you who store your milk like this...

I have {GREAT} news for you!

This is how I store my milk now...

 

{flat as can be}

and it makes more room and it's easier to store like this...

 

And, if you are an OCD organized person {like me}...

You can get a gift bag, the size of a milk storage bag, cut a 1/2 inch slit on the bottom of one of the ends, for easy dispensing, by oldest date. {much like a Pez dispenser}

(this way you put the milk in the top of the bag and the oldest is at the bottom, ready to use first)

 I hope I helped out at least one of you...I felt much smarter when I found this out!

 Happy 28th Birthday Jess!!

 

Today is my best friends birthday! I can't believe that we turn 28 this year! Wow!

Friends for 5 years and I can't wait for all the years to come!

Friends, roomies, mommies...we've been through it all!

We met through our husbands and have been the best of friends ever since.

We have been through a lot, good times and bad. We were the maid of honor in each others weddings and have had pretty similar lives, since being married. 

We are so much a like, we often 'knock heads,' but always find our way back.

We always think alike! All we have to do is look at each other and we know what the other one is thinking.

  

 I couldn't have picked a better friend to stand by my side!

  

 

  Roomies for a year! We had some great times and made lots of memories! It was a year I will ALWAYS remember!

 

  

 Long fun nights, the four of us had a blast!

My Valentine's Day {gift}

    

Most women get {bling} and candy...not me, I get practical gifts....

Ones that I can get {TONS} of use out of!

The hubby bought me a set of these....

The bigger the better right?! I figure these are way bigger than a pair of diamond carat earrings.

That's right, with a family of 5, I can now do laundry in style and it's actually fun!

I hate to say it, but I actually like doing laundry now!

Thanks babe, you really know how to spoil a girl  ;)

Life never stops

Being a mom entitles you to no not much rest.

When you are {sick} the kids don't understand why you aren't really up for playing Barbies, painting a picture or setting up the race track. 

They just want to play {and you just want to sleep.}

This is how I felt yesterday and this is how I feel today.

I can't kick this headache and my throat is swollen and hurts. My sinus have some major pressure and all around, I really just want to stay in bed. 

{Where is my nurse?}

I don't get sick very often, but when I do it isn't fun. {the again, being sick at all, is NEVER fun!}

I have 4 kids, of whom all would love my attention. I have a little 4 year old spitfire, that tries to get away with everything, when he knows I'm not 100%. {What is one to do?}

The laundry doesn't wash itself, lunch doesn't get made by my imaginary cook and the work I have to do, really can't wait any longer. 

{What is a girl to do?!}

I really can't wait for Friday, it's time this mama, had some down time!

2 Month Pictures!

Well, once again, I am completely impressed! My friend Erin, took Makenzie's 2 month pictures and, like always, they turned out {AWESOME}! She just had a baby 13 days ago and still managed to fit me into her busy schedule to take pictures. {You rock Erin!}
