Nursery Design...

So...I have finally decided on a nursery theme....but I need some ideas.

I don't do bumpers {daycare licensing rule}, so I won't be getting any coordinating crib bedding, just color coordinating sheets.

I will be getting a couple changing pad covers to coordinate and making a valance to match everything.

I decided to go with a light mint green and brown theme, with monkeys.

Now, I am wondering if I should paint the room all 'green' with a brown stripe towards the top of the wall or do a combo, with 'green' on top and brown on the bottom? What do you all think!?

The green I am picturing is a little lighter

OR
the brown I am picturing would be like the first picture and the green would be much lighter

I also don't know about wall decor, should I do a big vinyl wall decal, with his name in it, a monkey vinyl decal or just some framed pictures with a few shelves? I need your help!

This is my first attempt at a 'fun' and 'cute' nursery. Chase never really had a 'cute' nursery, cause I just painted and never found any decorations that I liked for the walls. Well, this baby is going to be one lucky little man, cause he will have a dang cute nursery!

Here are some decorations that I like so far...

I am going to bug the hubby to help me paint tomorrow, cause of course when I get something in my head, I want it done :) I want the nursery to be done well before he decides to arrive. :)

I like the all green :) But I'm not a fan of cutting a room in half with a second color. What a cute theme!!! Watch out Etsy...here comes Kelly! :)

I LOVE the combo! Really the split look is so cute (IMO!) I did decals for my kids rooms and they all turned out so cute, plus they can just be peeled off when they get older so i think its a good idea!

I really like the design in the first picture, with the brown accent stripe(s) up top - very fun & something different than the usual split wall. We have a monkey themed room for our son, maybe I'll take a pic for ya :)

I think the half and half colors would work better, especially if you are doing vinyl. I love the first "no more monkeys jumping on the bed!" vinyl!!

I agree with the other ladies...is Owen his name?

Oh I love what you have picked out. I do like the first room look better with the brown stripe at the top. I think painting the bottom of the wall all brown might look too dark... may also want to look at the size of the room. The brown on the bottom might make the room look smaller. But what a super cute idea. I love your theme!
I am the same way as you, once I get the idea I need it done now. Hope Hubby helps you get it done soon. Just tell him once its done you can't bug him about it!!
