Often I think of all the things I want and the things I think I need.

How I would love to have a bigger house, so we have extra room versus just enough room

I'd love to wear the latest fashions versus wearing what has been in my closet for way too long

How I'd love to have the time to go to the gym versus exercising by chasing my kids around

I'd love to be able to stay at home with my kids and not work versus watching kids (which I love) to make more income

I'd love to shop at stores for the latest fashion form my kids versus going to Once Upon a Child and garage sales for great deals (don't get me wrong, I love garage sales!)

How I would love to go on trips and take my kids to see different places versus going on a vacation every other year or just camping trips

I need to learn how to be thankful for everything I do have!
 {I don't care who you are or how much money you have, everyone always wants more or better things}

I have 4 healthy children

I have a very loving husband who is my best friend

I have a home to live in with a roof over my head

I have running water and clothes to wear

I have family and friends that are the greatest and they help us out beyond belief

I have a job

I have toys and time to entertain my children

I have a husband that supports our family

I have the creative edge. where I can make things instead of buying them

I have so much! So much more than a lot of other people have in this world!

I need to remind myself to be thankful for all the great things I do have. All the blessings in my life! All the love and help from friends and family!

I don't need anything else. I might want things and that is normal, but I do have all that I need!

I struggle with this myself sometimes. There are *so many* things that I want, but when I take a step back, I have to realize that I don't actually *need* them. It's hard to keep myself in that frame of mind though! For instance, it kills me that we spend $200 on cable every month. Do we NEED it? absolutely not. I'm about ready to just let it go!!

Way to go Kelly...now I'm crying!! But honestly, that really made me think about how blessed I am. Steven is in the middle of a 19 day stretch at work and I broke down last night because I feel so overwhelmed. But, really I should be thankful for all of the extra overtime and to not have to stress out about how our bills will be paid.

We all need this reminder from time to time. I am glad I got a minute to hop on the computer and read back on some blog posts I missed....this was very much needed for me today! So thanks! Great post!
